Google by default will keep a history on what you search for. I am going to show you ways you can clear you browsing history.
Go to settings, history, clear browsing history, time range and go to as far back as you want to go.
You have options on what you want to clear.

The second one we are going to show is how to clear specific words.
History, type in IMC, which is a term I searched for. You find all the times IMC has been searched for on my computer.
Click them all and then go to delete, it will ask you are you sure, press yes
If you want to search without Google keeping a record for it, you can go incognito
Go to Setting, Incognito I search Facebook, which I am a member of, it does not know its me. Google actually have my Passwords saved, but it does not know its me. Say I try twitter. Google popup says it does not know me, that I need to agree with their terms and conditions.
I click on Twitter and again it does not know its me. To prove to you that Google Chrome does not keep a history, go to history, recent history, you would see that Facebook or Google does not show as been searched.
